Oshkosh "B"'s quest to repeat as Division III national champions is over. The Titans came up short in their opening match against Cal Poly SLO "B" losing 18-25, 25-13, 11-15.
ReplyDeletePlatteville lost in 3 sets to Xavier and finish tied for 9th in Division II.
ReplyDeleteLa Crosse took down #1 Adrian College 25-21, 20-25, 15-12.
UW-Oshkosh had a scare but came back to beat #14 CSU-Sacramento 23-25, 25-17, 15-11
ReplyDeleteSide note: UW-Milwaukee (non WVC) also won in the first round of Gold.
Marquette won their first match in Division I Silver. Will play again at 2:15pm versus Ohio State University.

UW-Stout lost in the first match of Division II Silver.
UW-Stevens Point lost to North Dakota State and finished tied for 5th in Division IAAA.
UW-Milwaukee "B" lost to Virginia Tech "B" in Division III silver.
Marquette "B" won their first match in Division III Bronze.
UW-Whitewater won their first match against Rutgers in three. They will play against Michigan State at 2:15pm.

ReplyDeleteUW-Oshkosh defeated #5 University of Arizona 25-23, 25-22 to advance to the semi-final against #6 UC-Santa Barbara at 6:00pm.
ReplyDeleteUW-La Crosse lost to Sonoma State in the Division II semi-final in three. It's the first time in 4 years they weren't in the final.
UW-Whitewater lost to Michigan State University in 3.
Marquette University lost to Ohio State University in 2.
UW-Oshkosh lost to #6 UC-Santa Barbara and took 3rd in Division I for a second year in a row. They finished with a 54-4 record on the season.
